Do you want to be an Unbound Author?

We have some very exciting news for all you writers out there. Unbound is proud to announce not one but TWO opportunities for writers to have their own work featured at the festival.

The first, OPEN BOOK, is a competition for self-published writers. We are reserving one spot on our program for the author of the winning book, who will be invited to attend the festival (and the parties!) as a guest writer. He or she will get to speak about the book in front of a book-loving audience, and will have an opportunity to sign and sell copies during the day. The second competition is open to anyone who has ever written the opening page of a book. If you've ever wondered if you have what it takes to make it as a writer, the FIRST PAGE RODEO is an opportunity to find out.  A panel consisting of an editor, a literary agent, and a best-selling author will comment on and discuss ten first pages submitted by members of the public. The pages will be available for download ahead of time from the website, so read along and come ready to share your own opinions! Click here for more information on how to submit your first page.
