Book Review: Everything everything by Nicola Yoon

In our last post we introduced you to Ava, our youngest volunteer. Now we proudly present her first blog entry, a review of a new YA novel, EVERYTHING EVERYTHING, by Nicola Yoon. Thanks, Ava!

Madeline Whittier is allergic to everything. So much that she hasn’t been outside in 17 years. She has her mom and nurse, Carla to keep her company. Every day is a palindrome, the same as it will be tomorrow, not much different than yesterday. Madeline lives in awe from the outside world, but will never be able to see it.

Then a moving truck drives by and parks in front of the house next door. And with that moving truck comes an adventure that could alter her life forever.

This book flows wonderfully, setting up the story and the characters realistically. The dialogue sounds so real and genuine. Also, this book isn't a book you cry over at the end. It changes how you think about things, and leaves a trail in your mind you can not shake off.

Everything Everything is a book I  would recommend toYA contemporary readers. People who enjoyed The Fault in Our Stars by John Green, as well as To All the Boys I've Loved Before by Jenny Han will find this book very amazing. This book is easily one of my favorites I've read in a very long time, and you should definitely try it out.
