CoMoGives 2015 has begun!

We hope you all had a good Thanksgiving break - it's difficult to believe that December is already here! As some of you know, December in Columbia means the annual "CoMoGives" campaign, the end-of-year online charitable bonanza hosted by the Community Foundation of Central Missouri. The festival is proud to be a participating organization this year, and we wanted to tell you a little bit about it.

It takes a lot of money to put on a book festival: there are flights and hotel rooms to be booked, authors to feed, marketing to be done... the list goes on and on. As you know, the festival itself is free to the publicSince we don't charge admission to events, we have been dependent on three main sources of income to fund our plans: grants, sponsorships, and private donations.

That, friends, is where you come in. We have already received amazing financial support from our wonderful Charter Patrons, but as we approach next April we remain in critical need of funds. If you're looking forward to the festival and are planning to attend, would you please consider making a contribution, big or small, to help us with the costs of putting on this event? We would be very grateful. The CoMoGives campaign makes it incredibly easy to do. All you have to do is go to CoMoGives.com and follow the instructions. What's more, the Community Foundation has set up various matching funds and incentives for organizations, so your contributions can go even further to help us.

Donations will be accepted from December 1, 2015 - December 31, 2015.

Thanks so much!!
