None of these words can be used to describe the Unbound Author Questionnaire, our quiz which is designed to - well, we're not quite sure what it's designed to do, really, except perhaps to be a bit of fun and introduce you to our 2016 authors.
We've asked all our authors to complete this quiz, and while some appear to have their fingers petrified over the keyboard at our questions, others have fearlessly jumped into the fray. First up, Eleanor Brown, author of New York Times bestseller The Weird Sisters and the delightful, soon-to-be-released The Light of Paris.

Name one book that you would like everyone in the world to read.
I’ve been thinking a lot about empathy lately, so right now I’d say A Mother’s Reckoning by Sue Klebold (mother of Dylan Klebold, one of the Columbine High School shooters), because if there was ever a better chance for us to find compassion through someone else’s pain and love, I don’t know it.
If you could visit any literary location, real or imagined, where would it be?
Can I have a guided tour? I wouldn’t mind having Maeve Binchy show me around Dublin!
What is your favorite opening line of a novel or poem?
“When I stepped out into the bright sunlight from the darkness of the movie house, I had only two things on my mind: Paul Newman and a ride home.” –The Outsiders, S.E. Hinton
What book did you most enjoy in the last year?
It’s totally unfair to ask me to pick, so I’ll call out one I wish had gotten more attention: Lauren Acampora’s The Wonder Garden, which reminded me of how terrific short stories can be.
What’s the strangest question you’ve ever been asked at an author event?
If I would sing for the audience. To be fair, I had mentioned that my go-to karaoke song is Barry Manilow’s “Copacabana.” I declined.
Tell us one thing about Missouri that you knew without having to look it up on the Internet.
It’s the birthplace of Harry S. Truman, and the nickname is the Show-Me state!
