Poetry From the Page

So this is a fun thing.

Our Headline Sponsor, the Columbia Daily Tribune, is partnering with the Columbia Office of Cultural Affairs (another Unbound supporter) to put together a contest of "Blackout Poetry."

All you need is a page from the Tribune, an creative mind, and a VERY THICK MARKER. Here's a link to a video that explains how it works.  You'll be creating poetry from already existing words.

Go here for more details and to read about how to enter the competition, and for some examples. The winners will be on display on April 23 at the Unbound Book Festival, and they'll also receive tickets to Ragtag Cinema.

The deadline for entries is April 12. Good luck!
