Kids' Stuff (and how to beat the Queue Blues)

We're so looking forward to all of the events scheduled at the Macklanburg Playhouse on April 23! The Macklanburg plays host to our wonderful children's authors, musicians, and storytellers - it promises to be a fantastic day. Join Justin Roberts, Laura Vaccaro Seeger, Bobby Norfolk, Deborah Zemke, and Antony John, as they entertain the crowds with their books, songs, and stories.  (And go here for a full schedule of kids' events.)

As with every festival event on Saturday, all performances are on a first-come, first-served basis - which means there may be some waiting around in the foyer in between shows. But we've got you covered: there will be a popcorn machine on hand to feed hungry mouths, Barnes & Noble will have books and CDs by the performers for you to browse, and our friends at the PACE Youth Theatre Company will be in the foyer to entertain younger audience members with activities and fun things to do. These activities will be themed to mirror the events on-stage and so will change throughout the day.  Thanks to PACE, even waiting in line is going to be fun! (We are a full-service literary festival, you know.)
