Have a Question for Michael Ondaatje??

It's hard to believe that we're now only a few days away from the festival. As we speak, authors are getting ready to fly across the country to Columbia to spend the weekend with us. We can't wait!

As you probably know by now, our opening event takes place at the Missouri Theatre at 7.30 on Friday, April 22, when global literary titan Michael Ondaatje will be in conversation with renowned poet and memoirist Mark Doty. We couldn't have dreamed of a more inspiring event to launch our inaugural festival.

It's been one of our founding principles that we want the festival to be as interactive as possible, and so every event will include significant opportunities for Q and A with the authors. On Friday night there will be microphones at the front of the stage for audience members to stand up and ask questions, but we would also encourage you to consider submitting questions online and ahead of time by going here and filling in the form at the bottom of the page. We want to use both "live" questions and ones that have submitted in advance, and so you'll double your chances of getting your question answered if you take the online option.

So, come on and participate! We're looking forward to reading your questions.

(By the way, although all the tickets to the Michael Ondaatje event were reserved some weeks ago, if you don't have a ticket, you should still show up at the door. We anticipate that there will be seats available, and we will do our very best to accommodate everyone who shows up. It might be an idea to show up early, though.)
