Unbound Books in the Community!

Remember those wonderful book bins that were posted outside every venue at Stephens College during Unbound?

By the end of the day, thanks to our guests' amazing generosity, every single one of those bins had been filled several times over. We had a team of volunteers whose only job was to keep emptying the bins so people could put more books in.

Once we had all recovered from the festival (which, we admit, took a while) we began to distribute the books throughout the community.  In all, FIFTEEN BOXES of books were distributed to our friends at the Voluntary Action Center, the McCambridge Center, and Turning Point. All three organizations serve the neediest in our community and we are proud to assist them in some small way with their crucial work.

We at Unbound believe in the positive power of books and reading, and we hope that these books will enhance, inspire, and uplift those who pick them up. Many thanks to everyone who was kind enough to donate a book. Columbia is a stronger community as a result of your generosity.
