It's time for CoMoGives!
It's December, which means it's time for the annual bonanza of online charitable giving we call CoMoGives.
CoMoGives is operated by the Community Foundation of Central Missouri, and it is a wonderfully easy way to give money over the holidays to those local charities you care about. It runs throughout December. This year there are more than ninety organizations taking part. This is Unbound's second year of participating, and we're very proud to be a part of the campaign.
As you may know, all Unbound events are free to the public - even the Friday night marquee appearance by Salman Rushdie at Jesse Auditorium. This was a fundamental principle that we committed to when we began this adventure, and one we are proud of - but it does mean that, without revenue from ticket sales, we are dependent on the support of donors and sponsors in the community to meet the (not inconsiderable) expenses of the festival to bring our amazing authors and poets to Columbia.
And so we'd like to ask you a favor. If you attended Unbound last year, or if you're thinking of coming next April, would you be kind enough to take a minute to go to our giving page and make a donation to help us out with some of those expenses? Every little bit helps, and we'd be hugely grateful.
Thanks so much! (And here's the link one more time for good measure.)
