The past couple of years have been interesting ones for women, to put it mildly. Let us count the ways, or some of them, anyway: The predatory horrors of Harvey Weinstein and his ilk. The ongoing attacks on reproductive rights and Planned Parenthood. The Women's March on Washington. The #MeToo movement. The unprecedented numbers of women who are presently running for elected office across the nation. And, er, pink pussy hats.
(And, for a little local color, let's not forget would-be Missouri senator Courtland Sykes.)
Given all of this, we are putting together four of the smartest women writers you will ever see congregated in one place, and will be asking what they make of it all. The panel will consist of Camille Dungy (whose astonishing book of essays just got shortlisted for the National Book Critics Circle Award for criticism), Jami Attenberg, Melissa Febos, and Cathi Hanauer. Prepare to have your minds blown, people.
