Rebecca Makkai is coming to Unbound!!

If you’ve signed up for our e-newletter you’ll know this already, but we’re absolutely thrilled to announce that Rebecca Makkai will be appearing at Unbound next year. Her novel, THE GREAT BELIEVERS, is absolutely everywhere right now, appearing on every possible “Best of 2018” list imaginable. It was also shortlisted for the National Book Award. It’s a wonderful novel and you all should go and read it right now.

Based in Chicago, Rebecca is also the author of two other novels, THE BORROWER and THE HUNDRED-YEAR HOUSE, and a collection of short stories called MUSIC FOR WARTIME -- four stories from which appeared in The Best American Short Stories. The recipient of a 2014 NEA Fellowship, she has taught at the Tin House Writers' Conference and the Iowa Writers’ Workshop, and is on the MFA faculties of Sierra Nevada College and Northwestern University. She is Artistic Director of StoryStudio Chicago.
