Amber Sparks!

Another Monday, another awesome author to tell you about!

We’re very excited to welcome Amber Sparks to this year’s festival. Described by Roxane Gay as “master of the fantastic,” Amber holds a singular role in the canon of the weird. Her stories, both humorous and fierce, shimmer and sing. In her latest collection, And I Do Not Forgive You: Revenges and Other Stories, she blends fairy tales and myths with apocalyptic technologies, all tethered intricately by shades of rage. Described by Publishers Weekly as a “remarkable, deliciously caustic collection,” these bold and strange stories shine an interrogating light on the adage that “history likes to lie about women”.

Amber Sparks is the author of The Unfinished World and Other Stories, and the forthcoming I Do Not Forgive You: Revenges and Other Stories, both from Liveright.
