The 2020 Volunteer T-Shirt Competition is Here!

We love our volunteers (want to be one?) and we love our annual Volunteer T-Shirt competition! The legendary Mike Sleadd created our first two T-shirts (on the left in the above picture) but in 2018 and 2019 we ran a design competition which was open to everyone to enter. And Hallelujah, now the 2020 contest is upon us!

So... if you fancy seeing your design on the 180-odd volunteer T-shirts that we’ll be distributing to our wonderful volunteers this year, send us your design by Friday March 6, 2020. The winning entrant will receive a $100.00 gift certificate to spend at Skylark Bookshop.

Now, it’s not really a competition without a bunch of rules, so please note the following:

• All designs and all elements of all designs (except for our logo) must be yours.

• The winning design will address, in some creative way, the concept of “unbound”. Most people think of and refer to the fest as just “Unbound,” rather than the “Unbound Book Festival,” and so we wanted this year’s design to reflect that.  

• You can use color if you like, but bear in mind that simpler is often better.

• By submitting your design to this competition, you consent to our use of the design on our T-shirts for no fee other than the prize referred to above.

• Send your entry as a jpeg file by 5.00 p.m. on March 6, 2020 to this address: rsvp@unboundbookfestival.com. Any entries received after this deadline will not be considered.

• The judges' decision is final.
