Alicia Jo Rabins
We’re very pleased to welcome poet, musician, and teacher Alicia Jo Rabins to Unbound in April. In her work Alicia brings a searing eye for surreal beauty in everyday life with a deep knowledge of wisdom literature. She will be giving a poetry reading and participating in one of our most interesting panels, on Poetry and Prayer.
Alicia Jo Rabins is a writer, musician, ritualist and Torah teacher. She is the author of poetry books Divinity School (2015 APR/Honickman First Book Prize) and Fruit Geode (finalist for the 2018 Jewish Book Award), and has released three albums with Girls in Trouble, her indie-folk song cycle about Biblical women. She is currently at work on an independent feature film, A Kaddish for Bernie Madoff. Rabins lives in Portland, Oregon with her husband and their two children. Visit her at www.aliciajo.com.
