Zachary Mason!

We’re delighted to welcome New York Times bestselling author Zachary Mason to Unbound, where he’ll be joining Eugenia Cheng and Karen Olsson in a discussion about writing and math.

Some might think of literature and mathematics as diametrically opposed - pillars in some imagined battle between right-brain and left-brain thinking - of the fantastical versus the pragmatic or berets versus pocket-protectors. Others wax poetic about the beauty of math, its intricacies, mysteries and near-religious revelations. Zachary, Eugenia and Karen will help us to consider the field’s calculable and incalculable powers.

Zachary Mason has published three novels - the New York Times bestseller The Lost Books of the Odyssey, Void Star and Metamorphica.  He is a computer scientist specializing in Artificial Intelligence.  He lives in California.
