Patrick Rosal will be returning to Unbound in 2022!

We are thrilled to welcome the wonderful poet Patrick Rosal back to Unbound for 2022! Pat attended our very first festival back in 2016 and electrified many in the audience with his extraordinary and dynamic readings of his work. As Stephanie Burt writes in this Sunday’s New York Times book review of his most recent collection, The Last Thing, Rosal’s poems “can sound almost improvised, proudly suited for oral delivery: The poems invite us to hear them out loud.” Indeed: when Pat gives a poetry reading, he performs his work, rather than just reading it. It’s an unforgettable experience.

In addition to presenting his poetry, Pat will be interviewing Viet Thanh Nguyen on Friday night at the Missouri Theatre. We can’t wait to welcome him back to Columbia!
