Alan Gratz is our Authors in the Schools Keynote!
One of Unbound’s core missions is to encourage a love of reading and writing in all ages, but especially in the young.
Research has shown again and again that bringing authors in live, direct contact with students is one of the very best ways to encourage literacy and a passion for reading. Through the generous support of the Assistance League of Mid-Missouri, Daniel Boone Regional Library, the CPS Foundation, we are able to do this, and also to purchase additional copies of their books for school libraries.
We are THRILLED to announce that this year’s Authors in the Schools keynote will be none other than #1 bestselling author, Alan Gratz. Alan will be speaking to two full houses of students at the Missouri Theatre on Friday April 19. We can’t wait to welcome him to Columbia!
Alan Gratz is the #1 New York Times bestselling author of nineteen novels and graphic novels for young readers, including Two Degrees, Captain America: The Ghost Army, Ground Zero, Refugee, Allies, Prisoner B-3087, and Ban This Book. A Knoxville, Tennessee native, Alan is now a full-time writer living in Asheville, North Carolina with his wife and daughter.
