Jon Langmead has written about music and popular culture for a variety of outlets, including PopMatters, Aquarium Drunkard, SLAM! Wrestling, and North Carolina Indy Week. Ballyhoo!: The Roughhousers, Con Artists, and Wildmen Who Invented Professional Wrestling is his first book. When not writing or cleaning up after his cats, he plays drums for The Paranoid Style, Choo Choo la Rouge, Jennifer O'Connor, and other bands.
