Self-Published Authors at Unbound!
We are very proud of our extraordinary community of writers in Columbia - really, you can't buy a cup of coffee downtown without bumping into a novelist, a poet, or a playwright working away on their stuff. All these scribes contribute hugely to the literary culture of our town, and we want to recognize that when we put the festival program together.
Last year we did this by our "Open Book" contest for self-published writers, the winner of which (Eric Praschan) was featured in our festival line-up. This year we wanted to include more participants, and to that end we're proud to announce that on Saturday, April 22, we'll be hosting an Independent Author Fair in the Ballroom on the Stephens College campus.
Self-published authors will be able to present, discuss, and sell their books to festival-goers between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. during the festival. If you are a self-published author and would like to have a table at the festival, please email the festival at rsvp@unboundbookfestival.com to reserve your spot. The cost of a table for the entire day is $75. Please note that we have very limited space available and tables will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
