Monica Hand.

We're devastated by the loss of our friend Monica Hand.

Monica was a wonderful writer, a beautiful soul, and a force of nature. Everything she did, she did with passion and commitment. Last year she volunteered at Unbound. (The photo is of her asking what was undoubtedly a very smart and pointed question during a Q & A.) 

She had agreed to be one of our featured poets at next year's festival. 

Our thoughts go out to her family and friends who mourn her. Our community is infinitely poorer today.
